Medical Doctor from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia (South America) and Master’s in Public Health from T.H Chan Harvard School of Public Health. In her research career Dr. Levy’s has committed her efforts to the improvement of quality research and generation of scientific evidence to benefit society and health care decisions. Dr. Levy was the recipient of a scholarship from the NIH/Fogarty Center through which she was trained in International research in HIV/TB at the Division of Disease Prevention at the University of Miami. In her twenty-years career she has evolved from principal investigator in health services and health economics research to an expert on comprehensive aspects of clinical research, including protection of human subjects, federal regulations, administration of a clinical research center and mentoring of young scientists and health care professionals. In her current role in Florida Atlantic University, Dr. Levy works closely with the research teams and leadership to support the scientific agenda for transdisciplinary clinical research and clinical trials. She teaches health care services research as an adjunct in FAU College of Nursing, and mentors medical students in the FAU College of Medicine.
